Adcloud successfully starts up on the Spanish online advertising market
- Online marketing specialist strategically expands its business
- Goal: European-wide marketplace for digital advertising
Cologne, July 21, 2011: The Cologne-based online marketing specialist Adcloud has successfully started up on the Spanish market. After just two months, it lists a continually growing number of business clients. Adcloud’s clients include large media agencies such as VivaKi and Netthink Isobar, along with portal operators such as El Confidencial, Telecinco, Cuatro and Grupo Zeta. “The online advertising market in Spain is open like no other for new innovative formats and concepts,” says Henning Lange, Chairman of the Management Board of Adcloud.
The Spanish online advertising market is growing rapidly. Last year, growth rates topped 20 percent. But so far there has been no alternative to Google, the market leader in Spain. “With Adcloud’s unique technology and the open and transparent marketplace, we have precisely met the needs of media agencies, advertisers, marketers and portal operators,” explains Henning Lange, who completed part of his business administration degree in Almeria, Spain.
The Internet dynamics on the Iberian Peninsula perfectly suit the growth strategy of Adcloud. Since the beginning of the year, the company has doubled the number of employees working at its German headquarters in Cologne, above all continuously strengthening the area of development.
Adcloud is specialized in performance marketing, i.e. advertising placements whose success is measured and which are predominantly billed on a performance basis – e.g. by the number of clicks or orders. Adcloud developed its own algorithm for the optimal placement of online advertising. It analyzes all the data at minute intervals, including clicks, post-clicks and post-view rates, and calculates the bid for each advertising placement. Based on this data, the Adcloud computers decide in real time which advertisement is presented to which user. Adcloud thus enables the maximization of revenues for every advertising contact on the Internet.
In addition to Spain and Germany, Adcloud is also successfully active in Austria and Switzerland. In just twelve months, the Cologne-based company has become the leading marketplace for performance-based online advertising in Switzerland. “Our goal for the future: we want to establish our Adcloud technology and our open and transparent marketplace on the European advertising markets and support all market participants in the successful trade with online advertising,” says Henning Lange from Adcloud.
