Adcloud successful with retargeting

Cologne, 20st September 2011: Adcloud is committed to retargeting! The online marketing specialist has been using the tool on its platform for the past three months to precisely target potential buyers on the Internet - and it has already achieved the best results for its advertisers. “Our advertisers have been able to increase their click rate on the Adcloud Marketplace by a factor of 5 to 7 compared to their usual campaigns thanks to retargeting. This applies to display ads and image text ads. The response rate behind this increases on average more than threefold,” says Henning Lange, Managing Director at Adcloud.

The Adcloud retargeting solution is highly variable and dynamic. Using frequency caps and cookie periods, Adcloud clients can themselves control how often users are specifically addressed during what period of time and with what message. The decision regarding supplying the advertisements is made in real time. Adcloud isn’t just fulfilling all of the requirements of the German Telemedia Act (Telemediengesetz) with its retargeting solution, Adcloud is even taking it a step further. An infobutton is incorporated into every retargeting ad and explains the retargeting system to the user. The user can switch off the advertising using an opt-out option if desired.

Henning Lange: “In just three months we have already gained a great deal of positive experience with retargeting from clients in all industries, particularly in the e-commerce, fashion and travel industries. Thanks to retargeting, they have been able to increase their click rate several times over on the Adcloud Marketplace compared to their usual campaigns. As you can see, publishers are benefitting from considerably higher CPMs and advertisers from higher conversion rates and lower CPA prices.” Marketers are using retargeting on the Adcloud Marketplace for audience extension. This enables them to quickly find their users again on many other premium websites, populate contact classes and sustainably increase the results of performance campaigns for some advertisers.

Compared to standard retargeting services, Adcloud is offering many further advantages: the variation possibilities are diverse, which means the advertising seems less obtrusive for website visitors. Adcloud technology also always offers complete control and transparency since the advertiser retains an overview at all times of what advertisement is supplied on what website.

Many Adcloud clients combine retargeting with broad-reach campaigns or use negative retargeting to lead new clients to their website. This combination of retargeting and broad-reach campaigns leads to considerably higher response rates compared to pure retargeting. It lends itself particularly well to being used by advertisers who want to expand their cookie pools and so use the broad reach of the Adcloud Marketplace to quickly address as many users again as possible.
